Either ignore the clapping an pretend that it is all part of the plan, switch shoes with the best man (hoping he is either the same size or bigger) or just style some shoeless look. In addition to the emergency kit, I use a shoulder bag to keep at hand small items that are often needed most. It always reminds me of the movie The Wedding Planner, it starts with a wedding seen where Jennifer Lopez has everything she needs in the lining of jacket to rescue the day. Solving every situation right as it happens. Epic.

I was given an "emergency kit" for my shower in a really pretty vintage style train suitcase & let me tell you it was great! There were also stockings in mine & I do think we put mine to use since my bustle still dragged, & so it wouldn't get stepped on (more than it had) we used the safety pins in the case to hike it up more so!! :)

I was so excited when I saw the bag with the compartments in the new Michael's in my area. It wasn't expensive at all, and I snapped it right up. This is so much better than my oversized bag with lots of zip-loc bags full of "stuff." I love your blog and appreciate your willingness to share!
